Squad Goals: Friendship!

Children's Stage at Decatur Recreation Center presented by Decatur Education Foundation

Sunday, 4:30-5:00

Problem solving protagonists tackle friendships, old and new! Authors Anica Rissi (Anna , Banana, and the Puppy Parade) and Jessica Haight and Stephanie Robinson (The Secret Files of Fairday Morrow) talk about writing with friends, making new friends, and holding on to old ones.

Jessica Haight

Jessica Haight lives in Connecticut with her charming fiancé, James. She enjoys drawing while standing up and cultivating magic in her garden. She easily floats away in the pages of a good story and is still waiting for her owl from Hogwarts.

Anica Rissi

Anica Mrose Rissi grew up on an island off the coast of Maine, where she read a lot of books and loved a lot of pets. She now tells and collects stories, makes up songs on her violin, and eats lots of cheese with her friends in Princeton, New Jersey, where she lives with her husband, Jeff. Anica tweets about bookish things and her dog, Arugula, at @anicarissi.

Stephanie Robinson

Stephanie Robinson lives with her husband in a quiet town, though it is not as quaint as Ashpot. After teaching fifth grade for almost fifteen years, she is now enjoying her role as a school media specialist.

Elizabeth Lenhard

Elizabeth Lenhard is the author of more than 50 novels for children and young adults. She’s also an author escort and a restaurant critic for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She lives in Decatur with her husband and two daughters, who are finally old enough to read some of her books.
