The Science of Empathy with Chaz Ebert & Gregory Berns

Time: 4:15 – 5:00 PM

Location: The City of Decatur Stage 2 in the Swanton Amphitheatre of the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 130 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, GA, 30030

After an Emory University neuroscientist buys a farm in rural Georgia, he turns his scientific eye from the inner workings of dogs’ brains to the cognitive and emotional lives of cows following an unlikely and unusual bond. An awakening journey of how the FECK Principles — Forgiveness, Empathy, Compassion, and Kindness — have prevailed through the most adverse circumstances, uniting strangers in the name of love.

Authors Gregory Berns and Chaz Ebert open their hearts to readers through their radically empathetic feel-good books. They join us at DBF to speak about the powerful emotion that is empathy, and how heartfelt stories are the ones we remember most.

The panel discussion will be held Saturday, October 5th at 4:15 PM on the City of Decatur Stage 2 in the Swanton Amphitheatre of the Marriott Courtyard Hotel. Following the panel, authors will proceed to signing tables to autograph books.

Purchase your book from Charis Books via this link, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the festival.
