The 2025 Decatur Book Festival (DBF) Street Fair will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in the vibrant and historic city of Decatur in Atlanta, GA. As we celebrate the DBF’s 20th anniversary, this festive event will honor reading, writing, and creativity. It will feature a wide variety of exhibitors, including authors, poets, publishers, booksellers, writing groups, artists, and unique businesses that align with the DBF mission.

Exhibit Space Details
Exhibit spaces are available in 10x10 (100 square feet) and 10x20 (200 square feet) sizes for 2025. The primary exhibit areas will be located along specific sections of Clairemont and E. Ponce de Leon Avenues in the heart of downtown Decatur in Atlanta, GA.
Pricing and Inclusions
The cost for a 10x10 exhibit space package is $515 and includes:

One (1) booth ID sign with exhibitor name and booth number
Additional Items Available (for an extra cost)

Exhibitor Application Process
Due to high demand, exhibitor applications will be reviewed and considered by the DBF. If your application is accepted, you will be notified separately. Once accepted, payment must be made as soon as possible, but no later than August 1, 2025, to secure your spot. Please note: your exhibit space is not guaranteed until payment is received.
Weather Policy
The DBF Street Fair will take place rain or shine. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather or an exhibitor’s decision not to attend.
Application Acceptance & Policies
The DBF reserves the right to reject any application deemed unsuitable or inappropriate for the event. All exhibitors must review and acknowledge the DBF’s terms and conditions before completing their application.

What will exhibitors receive after registering?

Accepted exhibitors will receive comprehensive information via email starting in August and no later than two weeks before the festival. This will include booth assignments, layout maps, installation instructions, parking details, and other important event information, ensuring you have plenty of time to prepare.

Can I bring my own tent?​

No, exhibitors are not permitted to bring their own tents. The DBF provides a covered tent as part of the standard booth package to ensure a consistent experience for all participants.​

Can two authors share an exhibit space?
​
Yes! Please contact us at exhibitors@decaturbookfestival.com to let us know which two exhibitor applicants are interested in sharing a space.​
How many book titles can I display?

You can display as many titles as you'd like!​

Can I sell items other than books?​
​
Yes! We encourage exhibitors to sell items that are related to literature and the spirit of the Decatur Book Festival. While books are the main focus, we welcome exhibitors to sell related items, such as literary-themed merchandise, artwork, or educational materials. However, all non-book items must be noted in your application to ensure they align with the festival’s mission. Please note that food, beverages, alcohol, and tobacco products are not permitted for sale.​
Do I need to collect Georgia state sales tax?

Yes. Exhibitors are responsible for complying with all applicable federal and state tax laws and for collecting and remitting the required Georgia state sales tax. A state sales tax form will be provided.

When can I set up my booth?
​
Exhibitors will receive installation details no later than two weeks before the festival. Set-up times will be assigned based on your booth number.​​​

What are the event hours?

The 2025 DBF Street Fair will take place Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Is on-site assistance available?​
​
