ATLANTA, Ga. (July 31, 2017) – Tickets to the 2017 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival (DBF) Keynote and Kidnote addresses will be released to the public starting noon on Tuesday, August 8.
The Keynote is headlined by a panel of renowned journalists including National Public Radio host Brooke Gladstone along with Carolyn Ryan, an editor with the New York Times, and Wesley Lowery, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter from The Washington Post.
The trio will discuss the role of journalism in today’s ever changing political world – in particular the American political climate. The event is 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 1 at Emory University’s Schwartz Center for Performing Arts (1700 N. Decatur Road).
Tickets for the Keynote are required but free and limited to two per person. Tickets will be available beginning at noon on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Attendees may pick up tickets by visiting the Arts at Emory Box Office at 1700 North Decatur Road, Suite 251. Box Office hours are 12-6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Tickets also may be obtained by calling the Arts at Emory Box Office (404.727.5050) or online at Tickets.Arts.Emory.edu. Phone and online orders include a $4 processing fee.
Henry Winkler, known around the world for his television and film roles, is this year’s Kidnote speaker. Winkler and his co-author Lin Oliver write the “Hank Zipzer” and “Here’s Hank” book series for young readers. Winkler’s event will be 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 1 at Decatur High School’s Performing Arts Center (310 North McDonough Street).
Kidnote tickets also are free to the public but limited to four per person. Tickets also will be released at noon on Tuesday, August 8 at A Cappella Books, Charis Books & More, Eagle Eye Books and Little Shop of Stories.
