Bio

Bernard N. Lee, Jr. is the oldest son of a career veteran of the US Army. Bernie is a Director of the “How Big Is Your Dream?! Foundation. Bernie is a member of the Atlanta Writers Club; Georgia Writers Association; Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators; Atlanta African American Book Festival Group; and the American Overseas Schools Historical Society.Bernie resides in Conyers, Georgia, with his wife of forty-three years, Edwina Lee.

Her memoir All the Above: My Son’s Battle with Brain Cancer was awarded Finalist-Georgia Author of the Year, and is the subject of her AJC Personal Journey, “Fear & Gratitude.” A native of Texas, Julia lives in Brookhaven.

As the oldest son of a military family, Lee moved from place to place. The three years he spent in Germany was a magical time for Lee and his family. The places they traveled, the people they met, and the stories Lee recalls are shared in this memoir.
