Erin Claridy


A two time Women of the World Poetry Slam finalist (2014, 2018), Erin Claridy most recently shared the stage in March 2019 as one of three Atlanta poets that opened the sold out TEDX-Atlanta conference. An educator with ten years experience in Metro-Atlanta school systems she has also been recognized as a Teacher Of The Year finalist, Golden Apple recipient, and STAR teacher. She is also the author of Darla-Billy Died: Poems (2017) published by Grumble Press and available on Amazon and Kindle.


Evening Invitational Slam hosted by Theresa Davis

The annual Decatur Book Festival Invitational Poetry Slam organized by Poetry Atlanta and Java Speaks will showcase the members of the Art Amok and Java Slam teams as well as invited competitors. The slam will be held Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. at Ammazza Decatur, 314 E. Howard St. Participants will include Carlos Barboza, Cat Taylor, Nikki Gray, Nate Mask, Ryan J, Ember Webb, Erin Claridy, Adan Bean, Christina Schmitt, Ashlee Haze, and Jordyn King.
