Maybe it's best that Cas Russell and Moses Pritchard never meet, as everybody in their vicinity might end up as collateral damage. Instead, their respective creators, S.L. Huang (Zero Sum Game) and Milton J. Davis (Gunman's Peace) together unpack fantasting fictional violence, from Russell and her dangerously perfect sense of math, vectors, and impact to Pritchard's reluctantly revisiting his mercenary life in the dystopia called Newlanta.
Alabama escapee and lifelong Southerner Edward Austin Hall co-edited the 2013 anthology Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism and Beyond, which The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction suggested might be “one of the most important sf anthologies of the decade.” He also co-edited a 2017 Philip K. Dick-themed issue of Atlanta-based ART PAPERS magazine. His first novel is forthcoming.
