James Diedrick


James Diedrick is Professor of English at Agnes Scott College and President of the Decatur Book Festival Board. He earned his Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington, and has taught at the University of Washington (Seattle), Chapman University (California), Albion College (Michigan) and The Newberry Library (Chicago). In addition to Mathilde Blind: Late-Victorian Culture and the Woman of Letters (2017), he is the author of Understanding Martin Amis (University of South Carolina, 1995 and 2004), and co-editor of Depth of Field: Stanley Kubrick, Film and the Uses of History (University of Wisconsin Press, 2006). He lives in Decatur with his wife LeeAnne Richardson, who is an Associate Professor of English at Georgia State University.
