John Arnn

John Arnn taught commercial/jazz piano and related courses in theory and improvisation at Belmont University's School of Music from 1981 until his retirement in 2007. In 1998 he took a six-month sabbatical, studying composition with English composer/arranger Bob Chilcott in London and Oxford. He has previously published works with Alliance Music Publications, Fema Publications, Lorenz, and Selah Publishing Co. Arnn maintains an active career as a composer, arranger, and performer in the Nashville area. He is a frequent performer with Music For Seniors servicing assisted living facilities, nursing homes, retirement centers and dementia units. An active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, he actively supports Westminster’s music program by performing, composing and arranging for choral and handbell ensembles. His original children’s musical, “Our Man Sam,” based on I Samuel, was produced in 2008 at Westminster and his latest musical for children, “And God Said. . .” was presented June 2011. In July 2016 he published his debut mystery novel, Jaheewah–God Of The Winds, available at, Tall Tales Books, Decatur, GA, and Parnassus Booksellers in Nashville, TN
