Since 2005, the Decatur Book Festival has brought together readers, authors, and literary enthusiasts in the heart of Decatur, Georgia, a town known for its charm and vibrant literary community.

Our annual festival features panels with award-winning and best-selling national, regional, and local authors, along with book signings, cooking demonstrations, kids' activities, live music, great food, and exhibitors from across the country.

Join us for the keynote event on Friday, October 2, followed by a full day of festival programming on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Once our 2026 lineup is announced, a portion of all books purchased directly from our partner booksellers’ websites using the links in each author session description will be donated to the festival. In the meantime, you can browse sessions from the 2025 festival to see which authors were featured and use the links in those session descriptions to purchase books from our partner bookstores.
