Join chef Todd Richards as he discusses his cookbook, Roots, Heart, Soul: The Story, Celebration, and Recipes of Afro Cuisine in America. Explore the rich history and cultural impact of West African cuisine on the Caribbean, Mexico, and the U.S. This session highlights vibrant flavors, traditions, and Chef Todd’s inspired recipes, offering insights into how Afro cuisine has shaped and continues to enrich American culinary history.
The speaker session will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 4:15 PM on the Local Palate Culinary Stage in Carreker Hall of the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Emceed by Ligaya Figueras, AJC’s Senior Editor for Food & Dining, the event will feature a 45-minute discussion with Todd. Following the session, Todd will proceed to the signing tables to autograph books.

About the Moderator
