An Appalachian thriller, the odd disappearance of two sisters, the mysterious murder of all-star football players and a deadly card game with no instructions. 

Join Megan Davidhizar, Kristen Simmons, Kara Thomas and Andrew Joseph White for a stirring discussion on how to captivate young adult readers in the disturbing, dark world of thrills, chills and mysteries. 

The panel discussion will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 1:30 PM at the Children & Young Adult Stage in the Lower Level of the First Baptist Church of Decatur. Following the panel, authors will proceed to signing tables to autograph books.

About the Moderator

Stephane Dunn is a writer, filmmaker and professor. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, Newsweek, Ms. Magazine, Vogue.com, CNN.com and The Root among others. She is the author of Snitchers, Baad Bitches & Sassy Supermamas: Black Power Action Films, and the Tirota/Finish Line Social Impact Script Competition award-winning screenplay, Chicago ’66.
